How to use this website
The purpose of this site is to give you some background information about what Conflict Resolution is and why it's important, as well as how it fits into the larger theme of Peace Education; to engage you in discovering the meaning of peace in your own life; and to give you the resources to learn more.
This site is divided into six pages, after this one. You can access them on the menu at left (or on mobile, by tapping the menu icon in the upper left hand corner of the site). We recommend you go through them in order. By the end, you will have a solid foundation in what Conflict Resolution is, how it works in every day life, and where you can go to learn more about it.
The first page, Why it matters, gives you background information on why these skills are so vital to building a peaceful world. The next, What is it?, gives an overview of what we mean by "conflict resolution" and how it plays out in our lives. Following that, The skills you need will tell you about the four foundational skills of conflict resolution. Find your path and Tell your story are interactive activities where you can contribute your views and your story to tell about how conflict resolution might impact your life. Finally, Further resources provides some information for you to go beyond this website in learning more about conflict resolution.
We hope you find this site useful. If you have any questions or concerns, please use the links below to contact us (Cate and Mary Gloria) by email. We would love to hear from you!
